Stages SC3 Bike Fit Calculator
Get a starting saddle height and handlebar reach for a Stages SC3, in centimeters, from your height and inseam — for the studio bike behind Stages-powered cycling classes.
Methodology
Saddle height uses the LeMond method (Greg LeMond, 1987): saddle height = inseam × 0.883, measured from the center of the pedal at the bottom of the stroke to the top of the saddle. Handlebar reach is estimated from standing height × 0.42. This is the same general formula used across indoor bikes — Stages doesn't publish a cm conversion chart for the SC3's laser-etched reference marks, and no verified real-world calibration exists for this model yet (unlike our Technogym Group Cycle calculator, which is anchored to a plumb-line-verified fit), so treat the cm output as a starting reference rather than a Stages-specific spec. Use it to get close on the SC3's seat and handlebar posts, then confirm with the standard on-bike checks: a slight knee bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke, and the front of your kneecap tracking over the pedal axle when the crank is horizontal (3 o'clock).

How accurate is this calculator?
Results are estimates based on published cycling fit formulas (LeMond method) and standard indoor-cycling proportions, not a Stages-specific calibration. Use as a starting point, then fine-tune on the bike itself. Not medical or physical-therapy advice.
