HYROX Vienna 2026
Vienna has a large international community -- the UN, OPEC and several other organisations are headquartered here -- and English is widely spoken in the city centre, hotels and tourist areas. For visitors from Germany or other German-speaking countries, there is no language barrier at all. The Austrian capital's fitness scene has been growing, with more CrossFit boxes and functional training studios opening in recent years.
Messe Wien is a modern exhibition centre right next to the Prater -- Vienna's famous park and amusement area. The city has good public transport, no shortage of things to see, and a relaxed pace that makes race weekend genuinely enjoyable even beyond the competition itself.

Training in Vienna
Vienna now has a solid selection of CrossFit boxes and functional training studios across the city. The Prater park -- right next to the HYROX venue -- is one of the best urban running spots in Europe, with kilometres of flat, tree-lined paths.
Running Routes
- Prater Hauptallee -- a straight, flat 4.4 km avenue through the Prater park, shaded by chestnut trees. Vienna's most popular running route
- Donaukanal (Danube Canal) path -- flat waterfront path through the city centre, popular for after-work runs, about 8 km end-to-end
- Donauinsel (Danube Island) is a 21 km long island between the Danube and New Danube. Completely flat and car-free -- good for long runs
- The Wienerwald (Vienna Woods) has forested hills on the western edge of the city, good for trail running with views back over Vienna
- Augarten is a baroque park in the 2nd district, close to the venue, good for shorter loops
