How HYROX Ticket Sales Work

HYROX races sell tickets directly through their regional websites. There's no ballot system—it's first-come, first-served once tickets go live. Popular events sell out quickly, so preparation and timing are essential.

This guide covers everything you need to know about securing your spot, from initial purchase to what to do when your desired race is sold out.

How to Buy HYROX Tickets

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Go to hyrox.com/find-my-race
  2. Select your region and find your desired event
  3. Click "Buy Tickets Here" on the event page
  4. Choose between Athlete or Spectator tickets
  5. Select your division (Singles, Doubles, Relay)
  6. Add Flex option if desired
  7. Complete payment
Pro tip: You don't need a HYROX account to purchase tickets, but creating one stores all your tickets and confirmations in one place for easy access.

Ticket Types & Options

Division Options

  • Singles: Race individually through all 8 stations
  • Doubles: Partner up and share the workload (same gender or mixed)
  • Relay: Team of 4, each person does 2 runs and 2 stations
  • Pro Division: Heavier weights, competitive qualification

Ticket Add-Ons for the 26/27 Season

For the 26/27 season, the choice at checkout is not about a cancellation window, it is about how you want to protect your entry if your plans change. Pick the option that matches your race plans:

Option What you get Refund Best for
Standard Your entry, no changes None Athletes locked in on the date
Lite Flex Hand your spot to a replacement athlete for free, via a name change up to 7.59am local time the day before None Plans might change, but the spot won't go to waste
Flex Everything in Lite Flex, plus refund protection 100% up to 31 days before, 50% up to 7 days before (both by 7.59am) Maximum flexibility and your money back

There is also a Charity ticket: a discounted entry in exchange for committing to fundraise a set amount for one of HYROX's partner charities. It is the route worth checking if a standard wave is sold out.

Important: The Flex add-on cannot be added after purchase, so decide at checkout whether you need it. And note the deadline is the same on both add-ons: name changes and refunds all close at 7.59am local time the day before the race.

What to Do When Tickets Are Sold Out

1. Join the Waitlist

On any sold-out event page, you'll find an option to join the notification list. When spots open (from cancellations or added waves), waitlist members are notified first.

  • Add your name immediately when you see "Sold Out"
  • Check your email regularly (including spam folder)
  • Be ready to purchase within minutes of notification

2. Watch for Additional Waves

HYROX sometimes adds extra race days or time slots for popular events. These are announced via:

  • Official HYROX email newsletter
  • Instagram (@hyroxworld and regional accounts)
  • Event page updates

3. Monitor for Cancellations

When athletes with Flex tickets cancel, their spots go back into the system. These releases happen without announcement—check the event page periodically.

4. Consider Affiliate Gym Access

Some official HYROX partner gyms receive early registration access for their members. If you train at an affiliate gym, ask about early access opportunities.

What NOT to Do

  • Don't buy from third-party resellers: HYROX doesn't support third-party ticket transfers, so tickets bought externally may not be valid. The only official way to pass on a spot is a Lite Flex or Flex name change, done through your own booking before the 7.59am day-before deadline.
  • Don't pay inflated prices: Wait for official releases instead
  • Don't give up: Spots do open up, especially closer to race day

Group Discounts

Racing with a large group? HYROX offers discounts for bulk purchases:

  • Contact the local customer support team
  • Provide: desired event, billing address, number of divisions
  • Receive invoice with payment terms
Note: Group discounts are not available in UK and Spain.

Spectator Tickets

Want to cheer on friends or scout the competition? Spectator tickets are available for most events:

  • Typically £10-15 / €12-18 / $15-20
  • Full venue access throughout the day
  • Can watch all stations and transitions
  • Often available even when athlete tickets sell out

Charity Entry Option

US events offer charity entries with fundraising minimums:

Division Minimum Fundraising
Singles $400
Doubles Team $600
Relay Team $1,000

Charity entries are a good option when standard tickets are sold out—you get guaranteed entry while supporting a good cause.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast do HYROX races sell out?

Popular races (London, New York, major championships) can sell out within hours or days. Smaller events may take weeks. Set calendar reminders for ticket release dates and be ready to purchase immediately when tickets go live.

Can I transfer my HYROX ticket to someone else?

Yes, if you bought the Lite Flex or Flex add-on. For the 26/27 season, both let you hand your spot to a replacement athlete through a free name change, up to 7.59am local time the day before your race. Without a Flex add-on you must race in the event and division you purchased, and third-party resale is not supported (tickets bought that way may not be valid).

What's the difference between Lite Flex and Flex tickets?

For the 26/27 season, Lite Flex lets you hand your spot to a replacement athlete for free via a name change up to 7.59am local time the day before the race, but it carries no refund. Flex includes everything in Lite Flex and adds refund protection: 100% back up to 31 days before race day, and 50% back up to 7 days before, both by 7.59am. A standard ticket has neither. The add-on is chosen at checkout and can't be added afterwards.

How do I get notified when tickets become available?

Join the waitlist on the official HYROX event page. You'll receive an email when spots open. Also follow @hyroxworld on Instagram for announcements about additional waves or ticket releases.
