London hosts three HYROX events in the 2025/26 season -- more than any other UK city. That includes the EMEA Championship in March. Two venues, two different parts of the city, and a calendar spread from spring to December.

EMEA Championship: March 21-22, 2026

The EMEA Championship runs March 21-22, 2026 at London Olympia. It is a qualification event for the HYROX World Championship in Stockholm (June 18-21, 2026). Athletes from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa compete here. The field is strong -- expect fast times across all categories.

London Olympia is a Victorian exhibition hall that has hosted events since 1886. It sits in West London with its own Overground and District Line station (Kensington Olympia), so getting there is simple. The venue was recently renovated with modern facilities.

Beyond the championship, London hosts two regular season HYROX events. The March event runs immediately after the EMEA Championship, while the December event closes out the calendar year at ExCeL London.

ExCeL London sits on the Royal Victoria Dock in the Docklands. The floor space is large enough for a full HYROX course with good spectator sightlines throughout.

By Air

• London City Airport (LCY) -- closest to ExCeL, one DLR stop away (under 5 minutes)
• Heathrow (LHR) -- 45-60 minutes via Elizabeth Line or Piccadilly Line + DLR
• Gatwick (LGW) -- 60-75 minutes via Thameslink to London Bridge, then Jubilee Line + DLR
• Stansted (STN) is 60-80 minutes via Stansted Express to Liverpool Street, then DLR
• Luton (LTN) is 70-90 minutes via Thameslink to Farringdon, then Elizabeth Line to Custom House

By Train

• For ExCeL: DLR to Custom House (direct from Bank, Tower Gateway, Stratford)
• The Elizabeth Line stops at Custom House, with direct connections from Paddington, Liverpool Street and Heathrow
• For Olympia: London Overground or District Line to Kensington (Olympia)
• All major stations (Paddington, King's Cross, Liverpool Street, Waterloo) connect to both venues via the Tube network

By Public Transport

• DLR -- the fastest way to ExCeL. Custom House station is a 1-minute walk
• Custom House is also on the Elizabeth Line, which connects directly to central London
• Use an Oyster card or contactless payment for all TfL services. Daily caps apply
• Thames Clippers -- river bus to Royal Wharf pier (10-minute walk to ExCeL), a slower but more scenic option

By Car

• Sat nav postcode: E16 1XL for ExCeL London
• ExCeL has on-site parking but it fills up fast on event days. Pre-book via the ExCeL website
• ExCeL is outside the Congestion Charge Zone, but check the ULEZ boundary before driving
• Public transport is the better option. Driving in East London on event days is slow

Where to Stay

For ExCeL events, staying in the Docklands area cuts travel time on race morning. London has options at every price point.

• Canary Wharf -- 10-15 minutes by DLR from ExCeL. Good restaurants and shops. Premier Inn, Novotel and boutique hotels
• Stratford -- good value near the Olympic Park. Westfield for pre-race meals. 15 minutes to ExCeL by DLR
• Custom House / Royal Victoria -- the closest area to ExCeL, including Aloft London ExCeL and the Sunborn yacht hotel. Walking distance to the venue
• Greenwich is a riverside area with solid hotel options, 20 minutes by DLR to Custom House
• Central London costs more but gives you a wider choice. The Elizabeth Line reaches Custom House in under 30 minutes from most central stations

Tip: Book accommodation as soon as you secure your race entry. London hotels near ExCeL fill up quickly during large events, and prices rise significantly closer to the date.

• Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens offers central London loops of 3-7 km on paths and grass, good for interval work
• The Thames Path has long stretches along the river, particularly from Greenwich to Canary Wharf (near ExCeL)
