Getting There
By Air
- Cape Town International (CPT) -- direct flights from Johannesburg (2 hours), major European hubs (London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt -- 11-12 hours) and the Middle East
- No rail link to the airport. Uber is the most reliable option (25-35 minutes, around ZAR 200-300)
- Several shuttle services also run between the airport and city centre hotels
By Train/Transit
- The MyCiTi bus system connects several areas to the city centre. Civic Centre station is near the CTICC
- Cape Town's Metrorail station is walking distance from the CTICC, but train services can be unreliable. Better for Southern Suburbs or Simon's Town day trips than for race day
- If staying in the City Bowl or Waterfront area, the CTICC is an easy walk
By Car
- The N1 and N2 highways both lead into the city centre near the CTICC
- CTICC has dedicated parking. There are also commercial garages on Buitengracht and Long Street
- A rental car is a good idea if you plan to explore the Cape Peninsula, Winelands or West Coast during your trip

- V&A Waterfront -- premium location, walking distance to CTICC, with restaurants, shopping and ocean views
- City Bowl (Long Street / Kloof Street) -- the centre of Cape Town's dining and nightlife, 10-15 minutes' walk to CTICC

- Green Point Urban Park -- flat and safe, next to Cape Town Stadium, good for intervals
- The Constantia Greenbelt has shaded trails through the Southern Suburbs on rolling terrain
- Muizenberg to Kalk Bay is a coastal route along the False Bay side -- drive to the start, run along the coast
